Poringland Primary

Year 4

Welcome to Year 4 at Poringland Primary

Welcome to Year 4 at our primary school! What makes our year group special is that, having fully transitioned into Key Stage 2, our students become role models as the oldest children in Lower Key Stage 2. With a lively cohort of 63 children spread across two classes, each class is led by a dedicated teacher with the support of a teaching assistant.

In Year 4, our students embark on exciting projects, such as exploring the Anglo Saxons and Vikings through a visit to Norwich Castle and an immersive Anglo Saxon and Viking Day. They also become geography enthusiasts, learning about earthquakes and volcanoes, and turn into explorers with a visit to Poringland Lakes to discover local wildlife, inspired by the great Alexander Von Humboldt. We’re always on the lookout for opportunities to bring learning to life through engaging trips and insightful visitor experiences, expanding our children’s knowledge in exciting ways!
