On the 24 th of January, 45 children from Poringland Primary School travelled by coach to London. When we arrived we played by the River Thames before having lunch at Frankie & Benny’s.
Finally we went into the O2 arena – we sat really high up! We practised our songs with the help of our conductor, David.
Crazy Andy, from the Urban Strides dance group, made our day when he came on stage.
After a tea break, we put on our YV t-shirts and headed back to the arena. The parents flooded in and it was time to shine. There was lots of frantic waving at our adults, whose seats were at the back.

About 20 minutes later, the lights darkened and the concert started. It was so exciting! We were joined by Urban Strides, Ruti (the 2018 winner of The Voice who had sung with YV in primary school) and Tony Hadley.

Most people fell asleep on the way home. We got back to school at 12.10am and we went home to sleep in our lovely beds.
The whole experience was amazing and overall it was a very memorable experience! It was the best day ever and we all loved it.
