School Games Mark 2016-2017
We encourage our pupils to participate in a wide range of sporting activities. In 2016-2017, we achieved the Silver School Games Mark.

Spring Term 2018
On Monday 11th June, Rockland Class enjoyed a fantastic morning of multi-skills at Framingham Earl High School. The children took part in a number of different activities, supported by the Young Leaders at the High School.
On 10th May, Mr Walker and Mr Dean took a group of 16 children from Year 2 to take part in a cricket festival at the Hethersett and Tas Valley Cricket Club. The children took part in a range of activities to develop their skills in throwing and catching, batting, bowling and fielding. Well done to everyone!
Also in May, Mr Ringwood and Mr Dean took two teams of Year 6 children to Brooke Cricket Club, to take part in the Framingham Earl Cluster Kwick Cricket Tournament. Our team finished a credible 3rd and 4th place. Well done to all!
Football at Carrow Road
On 2nd May 2018, boys and girls football teams represented the school at a tournament at Carrow Road organised by Langley School. The girls, with little match practice, made it through to the semi-finals, where they were beaten by the eventual winners. The boys were losing finalists, with the pick of their games being a 2-1 victory against Norwich School. Well done to all who played.
During the Spring Term 2018, our Year 3 children have been enjoyed karate lessons, paid for by the School Sports Premium. On the final Friday of Spring term, all the children in year 3 had their karate grading, where ESKA’s chief instructor assessed what they had learnt for the previous 10 weeks. He was extremely impressed with the standard of skill and was pleased to award all the children with their red belts.
Mr Woodhams and Mrs Hamilton are all very proud of this achievement and would like to congratulate all of the children in year 3, well done!
Cluster Tag Rugby
In March 2018, we entered a team of Year 5-6 pupils into the Cluster Tag Rugby Competition.
In February 2018, 4 of our pupils qualified for the Norfolk School Games Cross Country Finals which was held at Holkham Hall. A huge congratulations to Amelia who WON her age group. Albie, Evie and Harrison all gave commendable performances.
In March, Mrs Clark took a team of basketball players to compete in the South Norfolk Basketball Competition at Framingham Earl High School. We are very proud to announce that the team won all their matches and finished as champions! A huge well done to all and a big thank you to Mrs Clark.
In February 2018, 4 of our children went to the UEA Sportspark with Mrs Mancini, having been selected to compete for Framingham Earl Cluster in the South Norfolk School Swimming Gala. The Framingham Earl Team finished second in the event. A huge well done to Lily, Lyla, Thomas and Monty!
In January 2018, our Year 6 Team competed at the South Norfolk School Sports Partnership Sportshall Athletics Finals at UEA Sportspark. The children participated in a range of field events and relay races, and performed brilliantly. The boys finished 2nd in the competition and the girls finished 3rd.
Autumn Term 2017
In December, a team of Year 5 and Year 6 children competed at a swimming gala at Riverside Leisure Centre. It was an amazing performance, and we finished 2nd out of 5 schools. Thank you to Mrs Mancini and Mrs Clark for organising the team on the day.
In November, we enjoyed a taster day of karate delivered by ESKA.
In Year 1 and Year 2, the children have been receiving some specialist gymnastics coaching. This is being funded by the School Sports Premium. So far, the children have loved learning to perform on the beam, and to roll and handstand on the floor.
In October 2017, a large number of our pupils competed at the Cluster Cross Country at Framingham Earl High School. Several of these runners qualified to represent Framingham Earl Cluster at the South Norfolk School Sports Partnership Cross Country Final at Fritton Lake. Well done to Evie, Joseph, Elizabeth, Dylan, Harrison, Nick, Amelia, Chloe, Olivia and Georgia!
In November, Amelia, Harrison, Evie and Albie all qualified for the County Finals after top ten finishes at Fritton Lake!
In November, two teams of children entered the cluster Sportshall Athletics tournament at Framingham Earl High School. The children competed in a wide range of track and field events, culminating in the excitement of the relays. We are delighted to report that the Year 6 team finished as champions and the Year 4 team finished as runners up! Well done to all the competitors.
Summer Term 2017
In June, our High 5 Netball team finished 3rd in ‘The Plate’ event at the Norfolk School Games Finals. Well done to all who took part!
In June, a team of Year 3-4 children enjoyed taking part in some cricket coaching and matches at the Tas Valley Cricket Festival.
Our Year 5 cricket team finished in 3rd place at the South Norfolk Kwik Cricket Tournament at Great Melton Cricket Club. Thank you to Mrs Larsson and Mr Dean for supervising the team.
In June, Year 1 enjoyed attending a Dance Festival organised and led by students from Framingham Earl High School.
In May, our High 5 Netball Team finished as runners up in the South Norfolk School Sports Partnership Tournament on a very sunny day at the UEA Sportspark. This means that they have qualified for the Norfolk School Games Finals next month! What a fantastic effort from everybody involved! Thank you to Mrs Clark and Mrs Baxter for organising the team.
In May, a team of Year 5 and Year 6 boys entered the Framingham Earl Cluster Kwik Cricket competition at Brooke Cricket Club. The team played extremely well, finishing as runners up, and qualifying for the South Norfolk Kwik Cricket tournament in June. Thank you to Mr Ringwood for organising the team.
Outdoor and Adventurous Activities
Year 5 have been busy exploring different land-based activities at Whitlingham Country Park, while Year 6 are currently enjoying activities on the water. These trips are partly funded by the School Sports Premium.
Our Cross Country Team has been competing in the Norwich League, visiting courses around the local area. Our Boys’ Team finished 8th overall, and Amelia finished 5th in the Girls’ competition.
