On 29 April 2019, 15 children from Year 1 took part in the CASMA Concert.

Together with pupils from schools across Norfolk, our children will come together to sing, perform  and collaborate in large-scale performances.

We will be celebrating 100 years of the Forestry Commission with this year’s woodland themed concerts, featuring arrangements and original compositions for young singers and musicians.

The performances will take place at The Salvation Army Citadel, St Giles Street, Norwich.

All of our Year 1 and Year 2 children have been learning the songs, which are themed on the story of ‘Little Red Riding Hood.’  On Friday 26 April, the Year 1 and Year 2 children performed the songs to the rest of the school in assembly, and during the afternoon, performed to their parents/carers.

The children also wrote pledges to protect the world and our environment. These were written to accompany the KS1 performance, based around trees and woodland.

Well done to all the children in Year 1 and Year 2, and special congratulations to the 15 Year 1 children who will be performing at The Citadel.  A massive thank you to Mrs Hayes for organising the event, and to Mrs Dewing, Mrs Pape, Mrs Eastick and Miss Whittington for supporting her by teaching the children the songs.
