On Thursday 14th March, Malthouse and Wroxham Classes went to Norwich Castle.
The children and the teachers did 4 activities. We looked at special artefacts which the Anglo-Saxons traded. We acted out a story with the storyteller. We looked at skeletons and made shiny brooches for Therweald’s grave.
We learnt some very interesting things we didn’t know before, like the girls got buried with their legs bent, but boys got buried with their legs straight! The Anglo-Saxons were buried with their treasured belongings.
We found it a really exciting and fascinating day because we learnt so much about the Anglo-Saxons and Vikings.
