In June, 8 pupils went with Mrs Baker to the Scratch Off 2019 at UEA. Twelve primary schools took part in the event and all of the pupils taking part were split into 6 different groups. We worked in the ICT suites at UEA and there we showed two judges our games that we had a month to create. The games had to be based on an arcade game. After the judgements we were given a hidden task that we had to complete within two hours. The task was to create an analogue and digital stopwatch. After that they judged our hidden task we had lunch which was Papa John’s pizza. We then moved into a lecture theatre and the winners of the 6 groups showed their games, also they showed their hidden tasks. The judges announced 1st, 2nd and 3rd places. At the end we moved into the high school Scratch Off in the next door lecture theatre and watched their presentations.
