KS2 Sports Day took place on Tuesday 29th June and was thoroughly enjoyed by the children and the teachers; we hope that you enjoyed it too!
This year we decided to combine competitive races with some traditional sports day events. There were long distance and sprint races for all year groups as well as a water carrying relay for Year 3, a tug of war for Year 4, an egg and spoon race for Year 5 and a relay of hurdles and skipping for Year 6. To top it off, the whole school performed a gymnastics and dance routine, organised by Rachel Perry, which even involved the teachers!
After all the points were totalled the Harriers were announced as winners with Leo and Amelia from Year 6 running a lap of honour with the trophy!
We would like to thank everyone who was involved with organing the afternoon, and a special thank you to the parents for coming to support the children.
We hope that next year is as successful!
